The Journey Behind Pranic Permaculture

Every philosophy has a story.

Not the story of an idea conceived overnight, but the story of years spent observing, questioning, learning and allowing understanding to emerge through experience.

Pranic Permaculture™ is the result of such a journey.

It did not begin with the intention of creating a new philosophy.

It began with a lifelong curiosity about how life works.

Why do some ecosystems flourish while others decline?

Why do certain landscapes regenerate naturally?

What unseen relationships sustain life?

How can humanity live in greater harmony with the Earth?

These questions gradually shaped a path that continues to evolve today.

A Journey of Learning

The philosophy of Pranic Permaculture™ has been influenced by diverse experiences across professional life, personal exploration and years of working closely with people and nature.

From the corporate world came an understanding of leadership, organisations and human systems.

From regenerative land stewardship came an appreciation for ecology, observation and the extraordinary intelligence of natural systems.

The study and practice of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga fostered a deeper awareness of life as an interconnected flow of energy.

Rather than existing as separate interests, these experiences gradually converged into a single question:

Can we understand regeneration through both the visible and subtle relationships that sustain life?

Pranic Permaculture™ emerged from the continuing exploration of that question.

Influences That Shaped This Philosophy

No meaningful philosophy is created in isolation.

Pranic Permaculture™ respectfully acknowledges the traditions, teachers and pioneers whose wisdom, inquiry and lived experience have shaped its continuing evolution.

The ancient understanding of Prana recognised that life is animated by a universal life force permeating all living systems. Across cultures and civilizations, this life force has been known by many names, yet the underlying insight remains remarkably consistent: life cannot be understood solely through its physical form. Beneath every visible process lies a deeper field of relationship that sustains, connects and continually renews life.

The teachings of GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui, through Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga, offered a practical and systematic approach to exploring this subtle dimension of life. Rather than treating energy as a matter of belief, these teachings encouraged disciplined observation, repeated practice and direct experience. Through them, energy became something that could be perceived, studied and responsibly applied.

Years of practising Pranic Healing revealed that wellbeing depends not only upon the physical body but also upon the quality of its energetic relationships.

Arhatic Yoga expanded this understanding further. It demonstrated that genuine transformation begins with the individual but ultimately extends beyond the individual. Through inner purification, meditation, self-awareness and service, it revealed a profound interconnectedness between the human being, nature and the greater whole. It encouraged the understanding that consciousness is not separate from life but participates within it.

One of the most profound questions that emerged from this journey was not about healing people, but about understanding life itself.

If human beings possess both visible and subtle dimensions, might the same also be true of the Earth?

If forests, rivers, mountains and ecosystems are living systems rather than collections of isolated parts, is it possible that they too participate in relationships that extend beyond what is immediately visible?

These questions did not arise from a desire to merge disciplines. They arose naturally from years of observation, practice and reflection.

At the same time, the pioneering work of Bill Mollison and David Holmgren revealed that healthy landscapes emerge through relationships rather than isolated interventions. Water, soil, plants, animals, climate and people form interconnected systems whose resilience depends upon cooperation, diversity and balance.

Here, two streams of understanding began to converge.

One explored the subtle dimension of life through energy and consciousness.

The other explored the visible dimension of life through ecology and living systems.

Neither contradicted the other.

Instead, they appeared to illuminate different aspects of the same reality.

From this convergence emerged a simple yet profound inquiry:

Can life be more fully understood when we observe both its visible ecological relationships and its subtle energetic relationships?

Pranic Permaculture™ is the continuing exploration of that question.

It is neither a reinterpretation of Permaculture nor an extension of Pranic Healing.

It is an independent philosophy that invites us to observe life more completely—to recognise that regeneration may involve not only restoring soil, water, forests and biodiversity, but also cultivating harmony within the relationships that sustain all living systems.

This philosophy does not claim to possess final answers.

Like nature itself, it remains a living inquiry, continually refined through observation, experience, thoughtful dialogue and a deep respect for the wisdom of the natural world.

Moksha.eco — Home of Pranic Permaculture™

Ideas become meaningful only when they are lived.

Moksha.eco, located in the Sahyadri Mountains of Maharashtra, India, is the living home of Pranic Permaculture™.

It is here that the philosophy continues to evolve through everyday practice.

The land is observed across changing seasons.

Water is harvested and respected.

Soil is regenerated.

Biodiversity is encouraged.

Design decisions emerge from observation rather than assumption.

Moksha.eco is not a showcase.

It is a place of continual learning.

Every challenge becomes an opportunity to understand nature more deeply.

Every success reminds us that regeneration is a partnership with life rather than a process of control.

An Independent Philosophy

Pranic Permaculture™ is an original and independent philosophy.

It is inspired by timeless wisdom, informed by ecological observation and enriched through lived experience, but it is not affiliated with or governed by any organisation, institution or movement.

Its purpose is not to replace existing approaches.

Its purpose is to contribute another perspective to the growing global conversation on regeneration, ecology and humanity’s relationship with the living world.

The philosophy will continue to evolve through observation, thoughtful dialogue and practical experience.

Like nature itself, it remains open to learning.

A Vision for the Future

The vision of Pranic Permaculture™ extends beyond a single farm or organisation.

It imagines a future in which people once again see themselves as participants within living systems rather than separate from them.

A future where regeneration becomes a way of thinking before it becomes a way of farming.

Where education cultivates observation.

Where design strengthens natural relationships.

Where communities flourish because they understand their dependence upon healthy ecosystems.

Every meaningful change begins with a different way of seeing.

Pranic Permaculture™ hopes to contribute to that shift.

An Invitation

Whether you arrived here as a farmer, gardener, educator, student, researcher, designer, healer or simply as someone seeking a deeper relationship with life, you are warmly welcome.

Pranic Permaculture™ is not a destination.

It is an invitation to observe more carefully, think more deeply and participate more consciously in the regeneration of the Earth.

The journey is ongoing.

There is always more to discover.
